Recreate the look: Morada front yard reveal on The Block

Channel 9’s The Block is an inspiration for so many of us, including those planning a makeover project, living through a renovation, or simply dreaming about their ideal forever home.
Watching older homes being restored and brought back to life with the use of different building materials shows just how different every renovator’s style is expressed. And the judges’ comments also reflect how varied opinions and tastes can be when it comes to colour and material choice.
On The Block in 2017, the versatility of brick has been showcased in each home. From structural walls, to front entrance pillars and backyard seating, bricks have been incorporated in creative and striking ways.
New Morada from PGH Bricks and Pavers has been the collection of choice to complement the neutral exteriors of this year’s home designs. Used to create a brick bench in the low maintenance backyard of Jason and Sarah’s house ‘Ellenvale’, and also seen in Sunday night’s façade reveal as column surrounds, the dark tone of Nero adds contrast to the chrome detailing around the front of the house, and the bluestone pathway.
Morada has truly given an old home a contemporary twist.
