Aldgate Residence, Adelaide Hills

Positioned in the picturesque country retreat of Adelaide Hills, the project involved the demolition of an existing residence and the construction of a new French inspired manor. The new residence overlooks the property’s own lake and century old weir, and is surrounded by several acres of superbly manicured gardens. A traditional solid-brick home in the purest sense, the home has a rich natural character and an authenticity seemingly lost in many modern buildings.

Using Greenway Splits from the PGH Bricks Crafted Sandstocks range, the overall exterior character of the home is exemplified. In addition, Antique Greenway pavers welcome you onto the property. The brickwork, complimented by the natural rendered quoins and surrounds make for the perfect balance of colour and texture deserved by the building’s façade. Superbly proportioned and elegant, the building is boldly positioned on the upper side of the property. The selection and use of face brickwork ensures the building is complimentary to its breathtaking natural surroundings.
