The design of this new music block provided the perfect opportunity for dynamic treatments to the building form and facades.
A bright and colourful folding roof element helps to link the new building with the school at large, and the facade of the walls integrates a speckled brick pattern to further announce the building's musical functions.
Ideas around rhythm, tone, beat, melody & harmony were translated into the expression of the brickwork to enhance the identity of this building within the context of the schools built form. The bricks were supplied by PGH Bricks & Pavers and utilised Metallic bricks in Pewter, and Glazed Bricks in Oscar*.
