The external masonry facades were broken up to avoid monotony, typical of such long elevations. The bedrooms feature external brick walling interspersed with vibrant colour infills, incorporating the windows and sub-sill. Patterns have been used in the brickwork to bring out the nature of the individual rooms, offering each module a unique signature.
Pewter bricks from the PGH Metallic collection were selected for their strong metallic finish to provide the architectural conclusion, forming the climactic end to the new building. Stack bond was used to solidify their colour and form. They have also been used as a brick parapet over the living room, which exposes the transparent inner glazed skin below and simultaneously ensures a sense of security for the residents inside.
