The Western Sydney University library in Kingswood NSW consolidates the facilities of two Penrith campuses into one new building, and accommodates centralised administrative services from five other campus libraries.
Visual consistency in the design, and delivering an efficient, modern, state-of-the-art build was key to inspiring student in a user-friendly research, learning, and study centre. Allen Jack+Cottier Architects selected a series of bricks featuring predominantly red tones to provide texture and complexity.
