Mitch and Mark cleverly incorporated brick throughout interior and exterior spaces, connecting the indoor and outdoor rooms to deliver a Palm Springs-style vibe.
Mitch and Mark gave their home a playful and contemporary makeover with a focus on vibrant décor and practical design. Described by the judges as a mid-century modern style, Morada Blanco Linear delivered a contemporary façade for the fireplace and adjoining bench seating.

The PGH Bricks Morada range provided a high-end, luxurious style with the stacked bond pattern adding to the modern aesthetics of the living space. Off-white mortar was used to unify the appearance with the facings, and an ironed joint finish was applied to highlight the effect of the brickwork. “Modern minimalist,” said the judges, with all of them giving the thumbs up to the chimney being the focus of the room.

The courtyard of House 1 made a bold statement, with a stunning feature wall ornamented with life size palm trees and decorated with greenery. To soften these bold features, Morada Blanco Linear was used to create a contemporary, resort-style zone for the BBQ, sitting area and bench seating. Using the same materials inside and out created a sense of seamless styling and design consistency, with the judges stating the courtyard was ‘the perfect entertaining zone that lived up to the expectations of the party house’. This look can be adapted from PGH Bricks Sophisticated Neutrals style, popular with those looking for an understated yet sophisticated feel. The Morada brick range from PGH delivers stunning finishes to modern buildings. A premium range that provides clean lines and a matte, porcelain-like finish, Morada includes a designer colour palette in three sizes, from Standard and Splits to the long, sleek look of the Linear shape. The epitome of modern European style, Morada is a fresh, colour-through brick for sleek, sophisticated and creative projects.

The External Facade
PGH Bricks were used to bring new life to the Oslo external facade. Dry Pressed commons were used to restore existing brickwork and Tribeca from the Manhattan range was used to create an Industrial chic vibe. This flowed through to the back of house one and four, creating a warehouse style look and feel to the home.

The garage at the back of House three features PGH Bricks in Metallic Pewter. The Metallic range is a collection of clay extruded, wirecut bricks finished with a subtle metallic sheen to achieve a more opulent effect for contemporary home designs. While the garage at the back of House five features PGH Bricks in Crevole, from the luxurious Coastal Hamptons range.
